OUR VISION

Our Vision Statement:
Christ’s Hope and Reconciliation Ministry (C.H.A.R.M.) exists to minister to incarcerated men and women, correctional personnel, and their respective families. C.H.A.R.M.’s goal is to share the hope found only in Jesus Christ and to see souls reconciled to God, resulting in transformed lives and relationships with families, the local church, and communities.

Our Ministry Approach:
C.H.A.R.M. Prison Ministry is all about relationships. With the help of hundreds of volunteers who go into the prisons with us each year, we engage inmates in fun, recreational sports activities and other outreach events. But, along with the games, we give them the gospel. We evangelize and disciple them, listen to them, and pray with them. Returning to the same prisons time after time, we build one-on-one relationships with men and women who often have no family, no friends still present in their lives.

We continue our family-style ministry as we bring recently released offenders into our transitional homes. There they learn how to “do life” as they continue to learn and grow in the Lord. We offer very practical help and give them a stable place from which to launch back into society, now free to be the people God created them to be.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." (
2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
